Comments about ROCKY PATEL VINTAGE 1999 CHURCHILL CONNECTICUT:
I like to write reviews as I am smoking the cigar. Recieved this cigar in the Boutique 7 Sampler(get this sampler, you won't regret it) around a week ago. First impression, well built with the right amount of firmness at the foot and a consistent wrapper. Cut beautifully and allows for a nice consistent draw. For cons I said it was difficult to light, it is not exactly difficult but I expected a cigar from a premium manufacturer to light with ease. A good cigar leaves a white/gray ash and this was mostly white/gray but in the middle there was a slight tinge of brown color. It burns fairly consistent, not the most uniform burn I have seen but you don't have to worry about needing to relight it. Next on the review is the taste. This being my first Rocky Patel cigar I must have set some very high expectations for this. It is a fairly mild smoke with a light hint of nutty flavor. It is nothing phenomenal, but it is by no means bad. For the price of these cigars I am not sure if I would buy them very often. I would recommend this cigar if you want to try something different than you usually smoke. Get this cigar in a sampler or if you can find a single stick of it before you buy a box. Overall good cigar, slightly above average taste, but in my opinion not quite worth the price.

I love this cigar. After smoking Monte Cristo White for years, I have noticed the quality go down while the price went up. I tried the Rocky Patel's and was impressed with the quality and price. I have not looked back.
