As a H. Upmann guy, I found this Rocky Patel to be a fantastic alternative at half the cost.

Great smoke. Always love Rockys and these did not disappoint.

These value-priced sticks are a little lacking. THe burn is a little uneven, and the taste is too peppery and sharp on the tongue. At least the draw was good.

The Rocky Patel Sungrown Maduro is maybe my favorite cigar including Cubans, and I am trying the Series D as a favor to my wallet. I am enjoying the first one of the 12, and it started the first 3rd great, with notes of cinnamon, which was a surprise. The wrapper is a duller color than the true Decade, but seemed to be good for the price. After the half way point it was hard to stay lit and had some harshness to it. Very loose packing on this and spongy. I will let some sit out to try and dry out to see the construction and burn of the future smokes. For the price it is a daily smoke that puts cheaper bundles to shame. I'd recommend this over Schizo or you brick and mortar budget smokes, just know you are not going to be really smoking a 95 rated stick!

I like rocky decades a lot, filler not the same, more pepper, a little harsher, overall not a bad smoke. Looks like a decade, but if you know them, you won't get far past the lite to know it, I would recomend as long as you're not looking for an exact match

The perfect way to spend an hour. This cigar creates what I have dubbed manviroment. I have them on a scheduled shipment basis. They never disappoint, and save hundreds a year. Do it, and be pleased!

Wrapper falls apart, tough to keep lit, smaller in length and ring gauge compared to Decade robusta which is in my top five of all cigars I smoke. Very disappointed in the quality and taste. Should of known better buying seconds..

good basic smoke but the wrappers can fall apart

I have smoke one of these every couple of days for the last two weeks. I have only had a couple that had wrapper issues and they were minor. The Flavor is great and they produce lots of smoke. I love them!

For the money, nice smoke to enjoy just hanging around, smokes a little fast but OK for it's size and cost. flavor is consistent and the finish is very good.
