On almost every cigar wrapper came undone before cigar was even partially smoked. Taste of cigar was just "ok". Burned very fast, lasting only about 2 to 3 holes on my golf round. Would not buy these again.

This was my everyday cigar as I have purchased many bundles to smoke in between some of my higher end smokes. Excellent flavor, always stays lit no matter how long I put it down. My go to cigar never had a bad one until this last bundle. I pulled out the second cigar from the bundle and it would not stay lit kept going out and the taste was not like usual. As I reached the midway point I got a strong taste of ammonia and immediately snubbed it out. I don't know what happened but this tobacco was mispicked or rushed. I have not experienced that since the cigar boom of the mid 90''s. I will give it a couple months and try again hopefully this got back to the manufacturer who will figure out what happened.

My ultimate go-to, I have been enjoying the cigar life for two years now and have sampled hundreds of sticks, but tried this one to see if a low priced stick could be enjoyable. I am amazed that it can be. I have re-ordered several times and will continue to. It is worth the chance.

I'm in the cigar club, so I get two packs of these every other month. They were like night and day, one soft with great flavor and good draw, other pack hard, tasted awful, hard draw. Hope this was an unfortunate accident and not a way to unload old s.....y product on a good customer. If it's the same next time, I'm done.

I can't find a better value than theVLRs. This is one of my favs too. The torpedo always cuts great and easy to draw. The Maduro is my favorite flavor of the VLRs but I still carry a couple different ones in my humidor at any time. I have about a 100 of these in my humidor now

I like to smoke these in between my other brands La pearl habana, diesel,La Vieja Habana,5 Vegas, cain, La Floria dominca and the rest. It's nice and mellow and a good smoke especially if you let them rest in humidor for a month or longer.

I bought the torpedo's the first go around. I liked the Manduro and knew this but was willing to explore other options that PDR has out there sense I am a fan of the PDR 1880 Manduro and all the other 1880 line. So I bought the assortment pack thinking that all of these are a kick off of the 1880. Come to find out I was totally wrong. the first mistake I made was buying the Churchhills that I do not Like becasue I preffer a fat cigar. I passed a few out and had some friends try all three. We all came to the same conclusion that the Maduro is the best and the others just didnt have a positive impact on any of us. This one has the best taste. And if you have a complaint spend some more money its easy as that. But for the price you can not beat it. We have the Don Leoncio shop here that carries the PDR line here in New Orleans and I go in a few times a month and the owner is there most of the time so getting the opinion of an alternate cigar from one of the most well reconized figures in the cigar world this would have to be the best choice. Of couse the burn isnt going to be the most even and of course with such an inexpensive cigar the ash is not going to hang on as long as a $20 cigar. and With a blend your not going to get the most consistant taste. All in all a good buy for an every day smoke.

I called your salesman on another problem which he fixed right away, so I asked for a good Maduro find and he can up with this one. After smoking the first one I went right to the computer and ordered another batch. What a find, Thanks

after 5 minutes into it, really mellowed out, earthy and chocolate notes present, but not really spicy. The others in the value line sampler were dry and crumbly, those that I could smoke were ok. So far, batting 3 out of 3 with the maduros's, will just order these from now on. Exceptional value.

I'm a rather beginner cigar smoker (have had about 40 different cigars from various samplers) And maybe its because I've been spoiled the last two days with an Alec Bradley Tempus and La Aurora Barrel Aged, but this cigar kinda stinks. Wrapper started coming off after cutting (and no I didn't over cut it). It starts off kind of bitter, but does get better when getting into the sweet spot. I could see this a cheap "while stuck in traffic" smoke, . . or an around the yard smoke, but its def only worth what youre paying for.

Very disappointing. Terrible draw. Fell apart on more than once occasion. I bought a bundle of 25 and have forced my way through 7 or 8. I am done. The rest are going in the trash.

This is an inexpensive stick I use while doing yard work or sitting on the patio, chilling. The flavor and dryness improved with some time in my humidor. There are definitely better tasting maduros out there, but you pay for them. This one, it is what it is. Acceptable for an inexpensive smoke. This is another case of I would recommend only to a novice or one looking for an inexpensive cigar.

Overall, I enjoyed these. Some of the cigars outer wrapper have pulled away, but not all of them. Their overall construction were very good. I liked the fact they had a torpedo shape. Not all cigars offered do.

I was hopeful that the PDR Value line might be a contender for my new everyday cigar but alas no. I usually stay away from a combo filler but thought maybe Pinar would do a better job than most. Several have had major runs and trouble staying lit. The flavor is not that great and they are soft and become mushy in your mouth. If like myself you buy this price point cigar to smoke while doing everyday outdoor stuff you will instead find yourself trying to keep up with a difficult cigar that leaves a bitter taste and requires spitting out the pieces constantly.

I've been looking for an every day cigar since the tax priced me out of my regular choice, "CURLY HEAD DELUXE MADURO". This is not it. Seems an affordable cigar with a little character is a thing of the past. Although I waited till these PDR Value Lines were on sale for [$] for a 25 pack I still do not feel they are worth even a buck apiece much less the [$]at regular price. These cigars are a combo filler which I usually avoid but as these were PDR's I was willing to give them a try. If your like me and enjoy a smoke while doing yard work, fishing, or some such and are hard on the unlit end this is not the cigar for you. The unlit tobaco is bitter to the taste, the cigar is not firm, and the filler ends up mushy and in your mouth. They also have problems running and staying lit. Very disappointing actually. Your better off with the Perdomo Factory Smokes or the Perdomo Artesanal or Thompsons VSOP line of cigars.

I have had many PDR cigars the past several months, and enjoyed the smoke immensely. I ordered these PDR maduros without hesitation. After smoking several, I concluded it was not something with my taste buds or smell - these have a distinct paraffin/wax odor and taste - like the smell you get after you blow out a candle. This smell lasts for at least 1/2 cigar, then diminishes. Had my son-in-law try them - maduros are his favorite smoke - he concurs. After making it thru smoking 10 of the 25, I have to return the rest as it is not a pleasant smoke. I have other PDRs in my humidor that are premier taste and smokes, but these maduros have to go.
