I have bought this product for years. In the beginning the quality was excellent with but only one cigar out of the box of 20 being unsatisfactory. In the recent years I have been lucky to fine as many as 10 cigars in the box of 20 which were satisfactory.

The early boxes of this cigar had but one unsatisfactory unit; now there are as many "bad" cigars, as good ones. They burn down one side, probably due to the quality of the filler. I no long can hold an even ash. The next time I am in New Orleans I will stop and discuss the unsatisfactory turn of what one was my favorite smoke.

Years ago I rated this product very highly. At that time only 2 out of a box of 20 were less than satisfactory; now only about half the box meets the tops in satisfaction. I have discussed my concern with Dee Gomez in the past. Since then, a humidity control has been added to the boxes. This has not resolved my main concern. The cigars no longer burn evenly and retain their ash. Some times the burning on one side will be 3/4 of an inch below the other and there will be solid material on the slow burning side which then has to be cut off and that area relit. Today's morning cigar was as good as in the old days; I will be astounded if my evening smoke is equally enjoyable. I have about 100 of these sticks in my humidor, but, though I hate change in anything, such may be in order here.

As above indicated, I have enjoyed well over 400 of these cigars. Though I have tried other labels, mostly more expensive, it is still my favorite.

I have tried various products from Thompson, none met my preference as does the Pinar Del Rio 1878 Cubano Especial Toro Maduro. I enjoy at least one daily. As above noted, I am disappointed in only one out of 40 (two boxes) when I encounter irregular burning.

These are satisfactory cigars. I have purchased a number of them. As noted above, in 1 out of 10 cigars the wrapper and general construction were such that the draw was uneven and the ash not held as usually expected.

The consistency in construction and flavor make these cigars an excellent value, as they could be sold for more any time.

Bought a box Churchills and was blown away. Tried to buy two more boxes but were on BO for a month. Bought 3 boxes of toros. One box went to a friend. Great value-

like I said I picked up 10 of these for [$] a stick.....suprised me with the quality and tast. am looking for more of these when the price is right.
