The Padron 1926 Series No. 6 Natural Robusto 4 Pack, like all cigars in the 1926 Series, employs only Nicaraguan tobaccos carefully aged for five full years. These refined tobaccos are blended to create exceptional smoothness, complexity, and balance rarely found in full-bodied cigars. Continuing the tradition of Padron cigars, the Serie 1926 #6 Sungrown Natural is offered in a box-pressed format adorned with a specially designed double band featuring an uniquely numbered guarantee label that is applied to each and every Padron 1926 cigar. The 97-rated Padrón 1926 Serie was created to commemorate Jose O. Padrón's 75th birthday and has since become one of the most coveted cigar lines made in their factory, with high demand and limited distribution.

This is a beautiful smoke. The aged tobacco's really come through with a full and rich flavor full of complexities. Not a hint of harshness with a very easy draw. I love this cigar.

The Padron Serie 1926 No. 6 Natural Robusto comes to me via auction in the standard 4 pack in a cheap cardboard box. The cigar presents well with its 1926 Serie and authentication rings intact. Wrapper is darker than the standard "natural" owing to its longer aging time. Tight wrap with no soft spots or imperfections. Cut is accomplished easily with a perfect cutter. Dry draw reveals good dark tobacco taste. Light is accomplished easily with good coverage. Smoke production is good throughout. Ash is medium grey without flairing or separation. Ash falls off at 1 inch length. Initial tastes reveal good tobacco with a harshness that attaches itself to the back of the palate and remains there well after the smoke is finished. An oak/cherry taste presents intermittently and is enjoyed. No other tastes reveal themselves. In summary, the No.6 lacks the complexity found in most premium cigars, although the tobacco itself is good. The harshness found in these cigars was rather confounding as I had never encountered it in any of the other Padron' I have smoked. Along with the usual price issues of this brand, this cigar is a no go for my humidor.
