Oliva fans, may I have your attention? On the heels of the successful Wrath series, another line is making its mark. Introducing the Oliva Hellion Churchill Habano (7" x 52). It's hand-crafted with superb, hand-picked Nicaraguan long fillers and binders and sealed in a dark, highly aromatic Habano wrapper burning hints of pepper and spice, delivering a quality smooth smoke till the last white ash falls. This is truly a great medium to full-bodied cigar to enjoy with a glass of single malt scotch or an old fashion bourbon, while relaxing in your comfy chair on the front porch during a late evening.

I was looking forward to these. They arrived in good shape. The first one made me wonder if I was going to enjoy these. There is a strange taste when you draw through the cigar before lighting it. I like to have several unlit draws to enjoy the raw flavor profile. After lighting it the flavor is good. The taste was in everyone. These are box pressed so they are square. Personally I don't really care for the shape. After some work on the head the pressed issure goes away. I bought a second box to see if they were any different. They taste good when smoking but no so when unlit.

I smoke 5 or more cigars per day. I prefer at least a 50 ring. My ideal is a 7 X 60. This cigar smoked decent. It is slighly pressed. I believe the pressing helps to even out the draw of this cigar. I would prefer an easier draw. The hellion is not too bad. I have been smoking cigars for over 55 years. This cigar is interesting, not something I would call a favorite but enjoyable. The aroma is nice and my wife and neighbors wife have complimented it. The cigar has a taste I can't quite pin down. There are nice earthy notes, wood flavors leather, coffee. But there is an underlying flavor I don't know if I like it or not. I bought 2 boxes on sale and have smoked 3 of them so far. Construction seems to be good and they hold up well to a nervous wet bite. I prefer a punch cutter. Even after being parked in my mouth an bitten pretty good they do not shed bits of tobacco.

Cigar started out a little strong flavor for me. After just a couple puffs the strong flavor smoothed out and I really enjoyed the cigar all the way to the nub. I had a glass of red wine with the cigar and it paired great. Try it!

The Hellion has a nice flavor, it is smooth, but much lighter than most Nicaraguan filled habanos I've smoked. After finishing a box of 7 x 52 I find that they burn very fast and hot, 30-35 minutes to the cap. Aside from the light fill the wrapper is extremely thin, although tasty, the wrapper comes off the end very easily on most every stick. Unlike the Melanio, series V, or G the wrapper lacks moisture, oils and enough grit to stay on the binder. I'm an Oliva fan, but not for this smoke.

I had this cigar on a colder night, alone just relaxing. The plight draw tasted of earthy tones with a little spice. After toasting the cigar i got into the first this. The cigar instantly gave a medium strength of earthiness with a mildly sweet finish. The smoke out put was excellent. The second third was much of the same flavors sticking with earth and adding a bit of peppery spice to the tongue, and the retrohale was sweetening. The last third picked up with a little more spice finishing off with a bit of coffee flavor. great smoke out put to the end. Recommend this cigar as a nice lounging smoke.

I am preferential to dark wrappers/tobacco. I did not care for this cigar as it does not match my personal preference. I personally felt that it burned hot and did not present any notable flavor. Not my cup of tea.

Thompson asked me to be a member of their "Elite Review Committee", and sent me an Oliva Hellion to try. The cigar smoked okay, it is a medium / full flavored cigar, while I prefer a mild to medium I still enjoyed this cigar. While I won't purchase them in the future, (I prefer Thompson's Clones) anyone out there that likes these should buy and smoke what they like. One last comment on the Oliva Hellion, if the people that came up with the name "Hellion" think that the name would influence me to try it , they're goofy. Maybe this type of name has an effect on the 20 something crowd, but this 61 year old just shakes his head and laughs. "Hellion", give me a break.

I let the cigar sit for a day in my humidor at (68) wher i keep the humidity. I did use a draw poker before lighting and i felt that the cigar burned evenly, also the cigar is a lighter than medium smoke i believe. The cigar did not become harsh after 3/4's had burned. I enjoyed this cigar for aproximately 1 hour.

Not a bad cigar, I am more apt to spend $8-$10 on a Oliva V especial maduro, or a Melanio than spend 6-8 on this one. Decent flavor, I just think I expect more. Probably wouldn't buy this one, love Oliva cigars though.

Truly one of the most enjoyable smokes I have had. This cigar paired extremely well with the single malt I was drinking. Pleasing aroma, good draw, full bodied flavor with a clean spicy after taste, good construction ,even burning. I will be buying more of this cigar.

I don't normally smoke a med-full cigar, but this was a very smooth and tasty cigar, not harsh at all with no bite.It had a good, woody, nutty taste. I might have to rethink about smoking only mild cigars.

I smoked this cigar on the golf course and thoroughly enjoyed it. It had great draw with lots of smoke. I like fuller cigars overall so for a medium-full cigar it had great flavor and didnt leave a lingering aftertaste. I will definitely add this to my list of sticks to purchase again

This was a very nice, smooth even smoke with a very pleasant aroma and taste . Burned even all the way down with NO harsh aftertaste or burn. It reminded me of some of the old old time Cubans only better. A perfect cigar for relaxing and chilling out.

It's funny how we get accustomed to certain cigars and they become our favorites. I've not had an opportunity to relax with a product by Oliva, so I was quite happy to try Hellion. It's construction was a little soft and fired up very nicely. Because of the filler being a little loose, the draw was super easy. I actually prefer just a bit tighter, but it was fine. When I first lit it, it was an explosion of pepper, but quickly mellowed with a hint of leather. From then on, the full flavor was consistent throughout. It did have a slight uneven burn, but nothing to worry about and the ash would get to be about an inch and a half before dropping in the tray. I did have to relight once, but that was my fault. Overall, this is a fine cigar, but it would not be my everyday smoke. Definitely a good special occasion cigar.

I enjoyed this cigar on a fall evening with a couple of pints of dark draught which complemented each very well. This cigar was well constructed and takes some time to enjoy. Its not a 15 minute cigar, more like 40. The flavor was very consistent throughout the cigar.

I got a lot of cedar flavor with earthy tones and a good bit of pepper/spice from the Habano wrapper. Overall a good balance and tasty cigar. I would not use this for a daily smoke for the price, more of a special occasion cigar. I would definitely recommend, especially if you enjoy that pepper/spice flavor.(7,52 Churchill)

Although I usually prefer mild cigars, I found this cigar to be a very good. Very smooth and it had a great flavor. One of things I think that is nice about it is that someone like myself can enjoy it as pleasant change from my usual milder selections and someone who likes a stronger taste will like it very much.

I'm usually a mild to medium cigar smoker but I found this full bodied cigar to be an excellent smoke. The first thing that I liked was the "square" shape of the cigar. It just got better from there. The wrapper was very well constructed with no blemishes or imperfections. The draw was smooth from start to finish with a great aroma and pleasant aftertaste. I was unfamiliar with the Olivia brand prior to this smoke but if this is representative of their other cigars, Olivia is hitting on all cylinders.

as a newbie, I'm used to mild-to-medium offerings so my trst of the new Oliva Hellion is my "gateway" to stonger cigars (I have tried the Oliva V and enjoy it as a medium smoke). I must say I wasn't too dissapointed. It was a bit tough to light this stick but it gave excellent peppery notes from the first draw with LOTS of smoke (which I like). It did mellow a bit ater awhile, but I noticed an uneven burn and a lot of flaking of ash throughout (sorry...if you're a "long ashes" kindof smoker you might be frustrated by the constant flake off of ashes). I also had to relight it multiple times to get the full cigar finished (a Churchill). Overall, I liked the flavor and would definitely pick up a box to keep in my humi for occasional smokes, but not practical for an everyday smoke for me.

One of the best cigars I've tasted Great chocolaty appearance, Easy smoke, smooth draw, great body. A very consistent creamy burn with a medium to full body flavor. I found it to have a great combination of light pepper, cocoa and spice. Make sure to have the time to really enjoy this cigar and not rush thru it. For sure one to have in your humidor.
