Comments about Gran Habano #5 Corojo Churchill Single Cigar:
I have smoked a number of Gran Habano #5 Corojo Churchill Cigars procured through the Thompson bidding site at about half the cost noted here.
The Cigar presents nicely with a lighter brown mottled wrapper. The cigar is light in the hand and a little spongy, indicating insufficient fillers for the size. The cut is accomplished easily with the perfect cutter, without loss of integrity in the cap. The light is accomplished easily, with thorough coverage, although the draw is obviously loose.
The cigar produces a nice tobacco taste with a hint of black pepper which excites the end of the tongue. The smoke production is good. The light grey ash remains on the cigar just over 1 1/2 inches, without flairing or separation. The tobacco, while not premium is tasty enough for the price, but reaches only a medium taste profile. The cigar never lasts over an hour, owing to the looseness of the roll.
In conclusion, a tasty cigar that may be found at a very good price. Many would probably find this a good everyday cigar. Savor your cigars!
