Upon arrival I took 2 of these to play golf. I gave one to a friend. Within the first 5 minutes of lighting the cigars they started to unravel. The leaf wrapper started coming apart. Very disappointed in the way these cigars came apart. Embarrassed that I thought I was giving a good stick to a friend. This is not the first time I have had this issue, I have had this happen in the past with other brands from Thompson. I had quit buy for a few months. Hoping the problem would go away.

I received the cigars and took 5 to a golf outing before smoking any. We all bring several to exchange and try. The flavor was good but on each of the cigars after burning down 2-3 inches the outer wrapper started to unravel. Kind of spoils an otherwise good smoke. I notified Thompson and they told me the best they would do is to give me a 10.00 gift coupon. I believe they should have replaced the cigars assuming the remainder of the box would be the same.

For the first half of the smoke I was truly impressed. VERY easy to light; nice, even burn; satisfying mellow flavor and a lot of smoke. But when I hit the halfway mark the head of the cigar collapsed and the wrapper began to unravel--even though I had made one of my better cuts. Granted, I am a relatively fast smoker, I think. I take about 2 puffs a minute. But I have not had this happen before and it was a real letdown because I was REALLY enjoying this cigar. I got it in a sampler and I have another one. Maybe I'll have better luck.
