The only thing this cigar has going for it is looks. I hope I just got a bad one but it was harsh and bitter to the end. It wouldn't stay lit, burned uneven and I gave up on it 2/3 of the way through. I wouldn't recommend this to a beginner, it might be your last. I got this through the Thompson Cigar Tour. A great way to try new cigars and avoid ones you don't like.

Rest assured: this unique candela/maduro barberpole isn't a gimmick. It is a well-constucted, thoughtful creation that, on the whole, is a very complex and enjoyable smoke. Candelas aren't esecpially common, so if you enjoy the flavor, you might want to throw a few of these into your humidor for special occasions.
