Comments about Ashton VSG Eclipse Sun Grown Toro Single Cigar:
I have purchased a smoked a number of Ashton VSG Eclipse Sun Grown Toro Single Cigar in the tube from Thompson Auction site for less than advertised here.
I have smoked a number of these cigars after letting them age in the humidor for a minimum of 3 months each. The cigars present beautifully, with excellent detail in the manufacture. The light is easy and the grey ash will last over an inch before falling off. The cigars are consistent in their taste.
The problem is, these cigars are billed as full flavored. Nothing could be further from the truth. These are mild cigars which reach mild/ medium taste points by midway through the smoke. The taste points are meager, and consist of mild but good quality tobacco and a light black pepper background after half way through.
In summary, you don't get what is advertised. In the end, the taste of the smoke is not special in any way and certainly does not deserve the price asked for. Very disappointed.
