AF makes a lot of cigars, the OPUSX being a 5-star obviously but, this cigar is very good. Mild to medium with several flavors and MUST be smoked slowly or it will burn unevenly. The lighting of the cigar is very important as it burns like you start out and do not rush it at all. AF's "We do not rush the hands of time" is VERY true with this cigar...do not rush it, enjoy it.!!

I've smoked MANY AF's throughout the years, but this is my first Don Carlos. Most all have a similarity that is consistent between each line. This Presidente , 50x6.5", is a great sized toro with a mild to medium kick and taste, closer to medium to you narrow it down. Tones of wood, leather, mildly spicy, very smooth. More comparable to the AF Governor, but a bit smoother with a better taste. Honestly, it was a tad bit more bland than I thought it would be, but in no way is that a knock, but I was expecting a little more from this little beauty. If it was a bit less expensive, I would replace it for the Governors I periodically smoke, but alas... Well constructed and burns consistent. Certainly worth a try if you are a fan of Arturo Fuente! Based on CA criteria, I would rate it a strong 88/89, just a bit deficient to break the 90 barrier.
