Comments about 12 CIGAR SELECTION SAMPLER:

1) The H. Upmann 5x47 was a disappointment despite the great flavor and good aroma --- the loosely packed cigar of medium strength delivered a short 20 min smoke with uneven burn and dark gray ash. As such it cannot be called a Premium cigar.

2) The Monte Christo (an odd size of 6 1/2 --- must be some kind of a fluke/sample, since their #1's are 6 1/4) was an even bigger disappointment --- loosely packed mild-medium smoke that delivered as short 30 min smoke of average flavor and aroma with medium gray ash. As such it cannot be called a Premium cigar.

3) The Romeo Y Julieta Churchill was the Winner! Well constructed, excellent mild-medium long smoke (about 45 min) with superb aroma, flavor and even burn!

Overall, this sampler is not worth the money, since only one brand was great (R y J) the rest were sub-par.

Over the past ten years I've made six trips to Cuba and I find the gap has closed, and that the quality of these cigars to come very close to their brands.
